weaving in little falls

The nearly lost art of weaving has quite a new following in Little Falls. The Little Falls Carnegie Library, a branch of the Great River Regional Library, hosted a weaving program Saturday April 27th, 2013. 16 people were there, and they ALL wove. Some wove a lot, some wove a little, some intend to do more weaving, and some were happy to just weave that amount.
I truly enjoy sharing weaving spinning and other fiber arts with the world at large. There are so many people who have never met someone who weaves and spins, who can create yarn and fabric, and yes, maybe even sew that yarn and fabric to make clothing.
I have a whole slew of photos from that dy. I can't wait for the next weaving class.

teach

A program in central Minnesota meant that I needed to warp 13 looms.

Fortunately I have weaving friends.

5 looms were already warped. Nomi's can be warped in a matter of minutes.

Thank goodness, because it took 3 TRIES to get the card looms warped correctly. For each card loom.

That said. Love the card weaving, can't wait to warp again. And oh yes, I have to warp again for the next program. In April.
